12 Days of Christmas Oyster Shell Ornaments: Hand-Picked Coastal Decor

A beautiful and truly unique ornament set depicting the twelve days of Christmas decoupaged on oyster shells. Each Oyster Shell has been hand picked from the mouth of Mobile Bay and surrounding areas. Each shell is then carefully cleaned and sun dried prior to decorating.

As you may have already guessed, all shells will have imperfections as they used to be a home to a small animal, so no two will ever be the same. The size, shape and imperfections of each one will vary and that is what makes each shell uniquely one of a kind. This set ranges in size from 2 to 5 inches high and 1.5 to 2.5 inches wide.

After the design is applied, it is then sealed, and the edges are painted gold as well as the back of the shell. A final coating of varnish is applied on all sides for a protective finish that will last for years to come. The shell and glass beads are strung on beading wire and then attached to heavy duty macramé cord for hanging.

These beautiful shells are hand crafted and we take our time carefully creating each one.
